1st Test of Womanhood

We have earrings!

I picked Lacey up early today and just decided what the heck, we have some extra time. (She'd been asking for a while). She picked pink gemstones. I think they're perfect for her. She looks so cute.

We had tears for a minute though. :-( I explained what happens several times, but you know, you just don't really get it until it happens at 4. ;)

So I called the place to make sure 2 girls would be there to do both at once. We get there, and "Oh, the other girl went to the bank and when she gets back, I go to lunch," etc etc. Grr. Oh well, I say let's go for it anyway. So she does the first one, and about a 2 second delay later, face scrunches up and she starts balling. :-( So she just immediately does the other one before she knows what's happening (I'm so glad she did, it was the right move, else the other wouldn't have gotten done). So about a minute of being upset, then she was pretty ok. Lady gave her a lollipop. About 5 minutes later she was her normal happy self. Whew.
