Our little fishy Nemo has departed. He is in the big fishbowl in the sky. He was a good fish. He will be missed.
Lacey was upset and cried, but then wanted to be the one to scoop him out of the bowl and flush him. She was sad again afterwards, but is now happily watching SpongeBob.
It is interesting to see how a 4 year old processes her first experience with death. I hated telling her, and watching her little face fall. :( She's doing pretty well with it, though.
I was hoping maybe for a fish break, but Lacey is already asking for Fish 2.0.
P.S. How's that for a first post in months? ;)

Awe poor Nemo. And poor Lacey, such rite of passage to lose a pet.
Oh, poor Lacey. Such a sad weekend.
And hopefully Lacey's Mommy will never have to hold her child's dying pet in her arms trying to save it while her child cries for her to do something. I have never gotten over that experience. If I never hold another rabbit (dying or not) it will be just fine with me!
:( I luckily don't remember the vivid details. Sorry, mama.
Awe, such a sad rabbit tale. Poor Michelle.
